- Vistra is constructing Phase III of its Moss Landing Energy Storage Facility. The 350-megawatt expansion will bring the facility’s total capacity to 750 MW/3,000 MWh, making it the largest of its kind in the world. Vistra’s enormous lithium-ion battery system is co-located on the site of its existing Moss Landing Power Plant in Monterey County, a site that’s been providing electricity to Californians since 1950.
