Investing in communities – at Vistra, it’s part of everything we do. This year, our employees from across the country came together in a big way for the company’s annual United Way/Energy Aid campaign!
Along with raising funds for United Way, the campaign also supports Vistra’s Energy Aid program, which helps customers in crisis pay their electric bills.
Between employee donations and a corporate match, Vistra raised $1.8 million, with $300,000 designated for Energy Aid. Vistra’s campaign is organized in partnership with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, and Vistra regularly ranks in the top five giving companies.
The campaign also provides volunteer opportunities, and this year,our focus was on feeding families struggling with rising food costs. Together, Vistra employees packed nearly 30,000 healthy meals, spent 300 hours volunteering at nonprofit agencies,and donated 1,500 canned food items to meet the growing need.
