Vistra’s commitment to education will power a new generation of students at The University of Texas at Arlington.
Vistra was proud to donate $25,000 to the university’s scholarship fund for first-generation students. The scholarships will be awarded to juniors and seniors to ensure they have financial assistance to complete their degrees.
“For many students, especially those who are the first in their family to attend college, finances can be a major barrier to earning their degrees,” said UTA President Jennifer Cowley. “Thanks to Vistra’s generosity, this will open doors for many students who may not have had the opportunity to earn their degree otherwise.”
Vistra has partnered with UTA on a number of initiatives including career days and financial support for the University Crossroads program, which serves first- and second-generation students from lower income households.
